FAIR: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable

The webinar will start with a short introduction on FAIR data, its status and use within the scientific community. The first part will consist of a presentation of the FAIR data checklist for researchers. This checklist is designed to support researchers with little experience in depositing and sharing their data digitally. The demonstration of the checklist during the webinar will show how the researcher is guided through questions that help assess the degree to which her or his data is deposited in a FAIR way.

A free webinar for anyone interested in data for research on poverty. Hosted by the CESSDA training group, this one-hour webinar will explore data available for researching poverty and its impact. The webinar will include three presentations with time for questions. 

With Eurostat estimating that in 2015, 119 million people, or 23.8% of the EU population, were at risk of poverty or social exclusion, poverty remains an important research topic in the context of Europe. Hosted by the CESSDA training group, this one-hour webinar will explore data available for researching poverty and its impact. The webinar will include three presentations with time for questions. 

A Tárki Alapítvány és ezen belül a Tárki Adatbank részt vett a Horizon 2020 által finanszírozott konzorciumban, amely a 'CESSDA-SaW: Strengthening and widening the European infrastructure for social science data archives' projekt végrehajtására jött létre. A projekt célja, hogy a CESSDA ERIC megalakulást követően a szervezet tovább bővítse európai lefedettségét, és ezzel együtt egy hatékony hálózatott hozzon létre. A kiszélesített tagságnak egy erős és fenntartható hálózatot kell létrehoznia, annak érdekében, hogy ezen az infrastruktúrán keresztül támogathassa az európai társadalomtudományi kutatás fejlődését. Az összehangolt nemzetközi együttműködés előnye továbbá, hogy ennek révén a szervezet hatékonyan tud közvetíteni a társadalomkutatás szereplői és a döntéshozók között, így minden tagország profitálhat a hálózathoz való csatlakozással. A projekt kezdete: 2015. szeptember 1.

The Czech Social Science Data Archive invites to free of charge workshop, which explores the potential of research data available in Europe. In the morning, a practical session on How to Find and Access data in Europe will introduce key data sources including CESSDA and European social science data archives and examine ways to identify and access good quality data for your research. The afternoon session will host expert talks on research, data and methods. Experts on nationalism, political attitudes and migration will provide researcher perspectives on important data in their areas of interest. The presentations will concentrate on data for comparative research and challenges in secondary data analysis. The workshop is targeted towards students, early career and PhD researchers but is open to anyone interested in the themes and/or how to access data for secondary data analysis.

A Tárki Alapítvány folytatja a sikeres önkéntes programját, melyet elsősorban a felsőoktatásban részt vevő hallgatók számára hirdettünk meg. Eddig már több hallgató teljesítette gyakorlati óráit a Tárkiban, továbbra is várjuk a társadalomtudományok területéről olyan hallgatók jelentkezését, akik a Tárki Adatbank munkájával vagy a Tárki más osztályával, projektjével szeretnének megismerkedni.
Ebben az évben lehetőség nyílik a nemzetközi adatbankok közül a CESSDA-val történő együttműködésre.

A Tárki Adatbank 2008/2009 folyamán részt vett a CESSDA Preparatory Phase Project-ben, mely program azt a célt tűzte ki, hogy nemzetközileg is kimagasló szintű európai társadalomkutatási infrastruktúrát alakítson ki az EU 7. kutatási keretprogram támogatásával.
