Welcome to the homepage of World Internet Project, Hungary!

World Internet Project Project (WIP) originates from the UCLA Center for Communication Policy and was founded with the NTU School of Communication Studies in Singapore and the Osservatorio Internet Italia at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy in 1999.

This project is a long-term longitudinal study of the social effects of Internet usage, and digital technology.

Hungary joined the project in 2000. The first WIP survey was conducted in 2001. We interview more than 5000 persons every year. The WIP study focuses on both the users and non-users of the Internet.
